Line Operator - Dartmouth, NS

Reporting to the Packaging & Operations Manager, some of the expectations of this role include:

Canning Line:

  • Start up, running, and shutdown of canning line (ABE Craft Can Duo 90)
  • Basic QC & QA testing – CO2 and DO levels, seam checks
  • Changeover between 355ml/473ml/568ml
  • Daily CIP of line and general maintenance of packaging areas and brewery cleanliness
  • Help maintain, service, and repair canning equipment as needed
  • Training provided on machine and equipment specifics 

Warehouse:

  • Manage and maintain the warehouse
  • Ship and receive materials and product
  • Monthly inventories of packaging and consumable items
  • Monitor inventory levels of consumables in the warehouse and brewery

Kegging:

  • Daily inventory management of keg stock
  • Maintain keg inventory as needed (washing, filling, transporting)
  • Daily stock levels reporting for packaging materials and packaged product
  • Maintain, service, and repair kegging equipment as needed

Skills Required:

  • Mechanically inclined
  • Attention to detail
  • Problem solving / trouble shooting / multitasking
  • Work well within a team
  • Moderate physical excursion required
  • Standing for long periods, moving heavy pallets, lifting 25kg repeatedly
  • Previous warehousing, forklift or brewing /packaging industry experience is an asset.

Retail & Events Associate - Dartmouth, NS

It’s always been about a commitment to quality and consistency in brewing approachable beer our customers want to drink, crafted the way it should be.

Reporting to the Retail & Hospitality Manager, the Retail & Events Associate will be a
key-holder in our Dartmouth Tap Room responsible for operations, inventory, and
administration as well as supporting our efforts at events.

 Responsibilities:

  • Cultivating a positive and welcoming environment for guests, ensuring exceptional customer service and satisfaction
  • Maintaining a clean and orderly taproom, including regular communication with building
    cleaners and suppliers
  • Ensuring strict adherence to local regulations, health and safety guidelines, and
    alcohol serving laws
  • Managing taproom staffing and schedules to ensure optimal coverage during peak periods
    and special events
  • Managing taproom cash transactions and bank deposits, including cash refunds and processing cheques from licensees
  • Handling invoices in EKOS (online brewery inventory and accounting system)
  • Assisting in inventory management by receiving incoming inventory into EKOS and ensuring proper distribution between all taproom locations
  • Monitoring and replenishing glassware inventory as needed
  • Managing inventory and incoming orders from the online store, and either packing and distributing the orders or coordinating with the delivery driver to deliver
    locally or ship
  • Some event administration e.g. obtaining relevant permits, securing insurance, and product invoicing
  • Coordinating the events calendar for internal taproom events and external engagements
  • Collaborating on the development and execution of effective marketing strategies (events,
    social media, etc.) to promote the taproom and brewery events, thereby driving foot traffic and increasing sales

A successful candidate will need to have the following skills and experience:

  •  Friendly and courteous when dealing with customers
  • Must be organized and have good time management skills
  • Hard working and efficient
  • Must be able to lift 25kg and maneuver 55kg repeatedly
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driver’s abstract
  • Must be able to withstand moderate physical labour for the day
  • Computer skills an asset
