Taproom Manager - Truro, NS

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Taproom Manager to join our team at The Common by Burnside Brewing. As the Taproom Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations of our lively and welcoming taproom, ensuring exceptional customer experiences, and driving the growth of our brand.
Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day operations of the taproom, including inventory management, accurate cash handling, and effective utilization of POS system to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Manage all aspects of staffing, including recruitment, hiring, scheduling, and ongoing performance management, to ensure a skilled and motivated team delivering exceptional service at the taproom.
Foster a positive and engaging atmosphere for guests, ensuring exceptional customer service and satisfaction.
Train, supervise, and motivate taproom staff to deliver high-quality service and product knowledge.
Aid in the development and implement effective marketing strategies to promote the taproom and brewery events, driving foot traffic and increasing sales.
Monitor and analyze financial performance, including sales, costs, and budgets, while identifying opportunities for improvement.
Ensure compliance with local regulations, health and safety guidelines, and alcohol serving laws.
Qualifications
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a managerial role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a restaurant, taproom, bar or retail setting.
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
Proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining customer satisfaction.
Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
Proficiency in inventory management, point-of-sale systems, and basic computer applications.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.

Responsibilities
Welcome guests with a warm and friendly attitude, ensuring a positive first impression.
Take orders for a diverse selection of craft beers and a small selection of wine and cocktails.
Display in-depth knowledge of our offerings (both beverage
and merchandise) and assisting customers with choices.
Engage with patrons, offering recommendations, and
ensuring their needs are met throughout their visit.
Demonstrate excellent customer service skills to enhance
guest experiences.
Handle payments efficiently and accurately, providing
seamless transactions.
Maintain a clean and organized taproom by completing daily
cleaning duties and assisting in general upkeep.
Collaborate harmoniously with fellow team members to create a cohesive and efficient service environment.
Qualifications
A passion for craft beverages and a willingness to learn about our rotating selection.

Packaging Associate - Dartmouth, NS

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Packaging Associate will be responsible for taking finished beer from tank to customer and maintaining the brewery on a daily basis.
Some of the expectations of this role include:
Cleaning and filling kegs
Delivering product to customers
Canning and packaging finished product
General cleaning and brewery
maintenance
A successful candidate will need to have the following skills and experience:
Handy/Mechanically inclined
Flexibility – Shifts will require working days, nights, and
sometimes weekends.
Must be able to lift 25kg repeatedly, and 55kg occasionally.
Must be able to stand for long periods of time
Must be able to perform repetitive tasks
