Territory Manager –Atlantic Spirits & Wines / Burnside Brewing Co.

Atlantic Spirits and Wines is an independently owned, full-service agency in Atlantic Canada with over 50 years of experience in the beverage alcohol industry.  The agency represents a world-class portfolio of international wineries, spirits brands and breweries including that of fellow agency Wine Visions.  They are also the proud owners of Burnside Brewing Co. in Dartmouth, NS.  Burnside Brewing is guided by a no-nonsense ethos: Work hard, have fun, and most importantly, make great beer.   

Job Description:  Taking direction from both the brewery and agency sides of the business, our Territory Manager will be responsible for growing our business in Nova Scotia.  They will represent all three portfolios as they manage customers including the NSLC, private stores and licensees in parts of HRM and rural Nova Scotia.  The Territory Manager ensure brand standards are adhered to and shelves are properly managed.  They will increase sales and distribution throughout our network where appropriate and possible through education, service and relationship building. Some
admin work will be necessary including marketing and listing applications and meetings with Category Management.

General SkillsA successful Territory Manager must understand the beverage alcohol business in NS, be organized and driven with a passion for the our industry and its culture. They must love working with our team as well as working with external customers and connecting with the people and communities that we service.  Providing first-rate service is integral and will help to build our brand throughout Nova Scotia and the Atlantic Region.  Much of your time will be spent in the field so you must also be able to work independently.  Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, being detail oriented, professional, well-prepared, creatively solving problems, establishing priorities, and showing flexibility in changing situations are also key to being successful in this position.  You must have a vehicle and a valid drivers license and provide a drivers abstract from the Province of NS.

Responsibilities
Welcome guests with a warm and friendly attitude, ensuring a positive first impression. Take orders for a diverse selection of craft beers and a small selection of wine and cocktails. Display in-depth knowledge of our offerings (both beverage and merchandise) and assisting customers with choices. Engage with patrons, offering recommendations, and ensuring their needs are met throughout their visit. Demonstrate excellent customer service skills to enhance guest experiences. Handle payments efficiently and accurately, providing seamless transactions. Maintain a clean and organized taproom by completing daily cleaning duties and assisting in general upkeep. Collaborate harmoniously with fellow team members to create a cohesive and efficient service environment.
Qualifications
A passion for craft beverages and a willingness to learn about our rotating selection. Strong communication skills, with an approachable and customer-focused demeanor. Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in a similar hospitality role is a plus, but not mandatory. Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations regarding
alcohol service. Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
